'The Secret of the Sword'
Synopsis (Phoenix): He-Man is sent on a quest for the destined holder of the twin of his Sword of Power. He travels to the world of Etheria, where he joins with the local rebellion against the Evil Horde. To his utter shock, he learned that the Sword was destined for Adora... a Force Captain of the Horde. After several capturings and seeming-defeats, Adora shakes off a spell from ShadowWeaver and learns her heritage as twin sister to He-Man, a Princess of Eternia. Taking up her Sword, she transformed into She-Ra, the Princess of Power. Together with her new-found brother, she helped give the rebellion against the Horde a much-needed victory, gaining a number of friends and allies in the bargain.
Review (Phoenix): This was a good origin story. Sure, it was fairly straightforward, as were all of the He-Man/She-Ra episodes, but I think this is the one that started the 'five-episode origin' pattern for cartoons of the time, which has been followed by most of the 'genre' toons, such as ThunderCats, Transformers, and even such recent stuff as Gargoyles.
